The last third-Sunday meeting was exceptional, more for the activities afterwards.
There was no BeerRev meeting for various reasons. Next Friday is the 2600 meeting and I’ve got a UE project that may overlap groups. See you there!
Well, not really. Meeting this Sunday and I plan to bring my sooper-sekrit accountant’s case full of phreak goodness. After a year if not two of not touching a phone, I’ve started phreaking again and I’ll share some of the technology and experiences at the upcoming meeting. Stop by #602 at irc.binrev.net and share your experiences as well, phreak or not.
Mama Java’s at the usual time. Discussion may include:
And other technological topics. See you there!
Fantastic meeting at Mama Java’s last night. Pablo brought his Nokia N810 and it is an impressive device. We spoke of the value of “secret” questions, checked out Cory Doctrow’s “When Sysadmins Ruled the Earth,” and planned a supplemental meeting at Rosie’s next Sunday. And Zapper showed up!
Kondor alerted everyone to the fact that the interwebnets were broken at Mama Java’s, so we held the meeting at the Biltmore Coffee Plantation. The meeting was good, the venue so-so. Mama Java’s just has that back-room-of-the-hobby-shop-playing-Dungeons-&-Dragons feel that makes you hack like a mutha.
Third Sunday is here. We’ve got the table reserved in the back, I’m bringing lots of phone stuff to give away, and there’s always good hacking to be had by all. See you there!
We shut down Mama Java’s last night. Four hours of solid hacking. And a little drinking. Kondor, minddog, opcode, Pablo, Rax and some new faces (I’m sorry, I forgot your names!) showed up. We did some red teaming of each other’s apps, tried to get Gutsy working on Rax’s laptop (to no avail) and found that Opera and Linksys WAPs do not mix. One of the new faces not only had a show on Rant Radio, he ran the back end for years! Seriously, the level of people you can meet at 2600 and BinRev meetings never ceases to amaze me.
There’s a meeting tonight. We meet at Mama Java’s at 6 PM. We have the big table in the back reserved, so stop by, enjoy some bluegrass and hack some sh!t.
We had a great meeting tonight. Rax, Kondor, pablo, minddog and opcode turned out. We played with SQL, I got schooled on Firebug and Web Developer, Kondor demoed Rockbox and minddog showed a bit of Leopard. The bluegrass pwned as usual and we spoke with the owner of Mama Java’s and she said we can reserve the big table in the back room for future meetings. What a cool place.
